Although new to Colorado and the US, the principals of DARMA have a proven track record in developing rocket engine technology in South Korea for the past 18 years.
The South Korean rocket company, C&SPACE Inc.(CSI), from which DARMA originated, was estabilished in 2004 by researchers from the Hyundai Group, each with many years of experience inn rocket engine development.

Successful in-house system proof tests for the proto-type engine were conducted from Dec. 2005 through Mar. 2006. These tests include regenerative cooling tests of the chamber and nozzle by LNG, a gas-generator test, gas-generator+turbo-pump assembly test, and a complete system tests.
